Former DHS wordsmith. Many years of turning bureaucratic nightmares into sentences that don’t make people want to claw their eyes out. Most of my best work is still locked in a vault somewhere, courtesy of Uncle Sam’s favorite Sharpie.
What survived: the skill to write clear, no-bullshit policy, reports, procedures, and briefings that actually get read instead of filed into oblivion.

I have the awful distinction of having most of my best business writing stuck in the vault of that which is 'forever classified' by our federal overlords. So I have to write fresh stuff that functions sort of like a mock-up of what I've actually written professionally. That's why the site name is witty and quirky, a bit like me.
